TRIO Announces Offerings in "The Divas in Red" and "The Event"
June 11, 2011; Washington County Fairgrounds, Brenham, Texas

TRIO Cattle & Genetics & Broken A Ranch are offering two powerful young females in “The Divas in Red Sale” during the Annual Meeting of the International Red Brangus Breeders Association.

Two of the first calves sired by Tanque 23T, they are the realization of the expectations we had for Tanque. Out of two of the most powerful donors in the Red Brangus breed they will each make their mark in the breed for many years.

TRIO’s Xara 114X3 is a May 20, 2010 heifer out of Brinks Cassie 1114S and Tanque. She is long bodied, heavy structured and has a dark red color. Cassie was the 2009 Show Heifer of the Year and passes her balance and power on to her offspring. A full brother to Xara is included in the “Pick of the Spring Bull Calves” offered in “The Event”. TRIO is reserving the right to flush Xara one time at the buyer’s convenience.

Broken A Emerald 14X is a April 8, 2010 heifer out of Dos XX Ruby 14S and Tanque. Emerald is a very thick female while retaining a high degree of balance and symmetry. She will be a competitive contender in the show ring this year. Ruby was the two time IRBBA Reserve National Champion and has progeny in multiple herds across the U.S. and Mexico. Broken A Ranch is reserving the right to flush Emerald one time at the buyer’s convenience.

Both Xara and Emerald are entered in the 2011 Brangus Futurity.

In “The Event”, TRIO is inviting a Red Brangus breeder to join them in the next exciting young sire, but which will one will it be? You decide! TRIO focuses on matching the finest females in the breed with the sires that compliments each of them the strongest. The result has been a distinctive brand of Red Brangus cattle. The buyer has the right to select from all of the 2011 spring bull calves for 50% semen interest and 50% possession. The selection is to be made by October 31, 2011. At the time of selection, the new partner assumes half of all ongoing expenses. If it is decided to show the calf, TRIO will campaign it with the new partner, sharing equally in the expenses. The calves to select from include the following matings:

TRIO’s Yucatan 175Y January 17, 2011

Fancy 175/4 x TRIO Sequoia 112S – A full brother to TRIO’s Wildfire 175W, the 2010 and 2011 & 2010 International Grand Champion Female.

Dos XX’s Miss Maria 112/2 “Daphne” x R2 Extra Style 880P – A first generation calf by our massive quarter blood donor Daphne and the very stylish 880P. Daphne is the foundation female at TRIO. She was the two time ARBA National Champion Female and is the dam of TRIO’s Sequoia 112S, the sire of the indominatable Wildfire.
